'Believer' Becomes 1st Film to Top 5 Million Viewer Mark This Year

Crime action film "Believer" has become the first Korean film this year to surpass the 5 million mark in cinema attendance.

As of Tuesday afternoon, "Believer" attracted 5 million and 61 viewers in over a month since its release on May 22, according to the film's distributor NEW.
The film has competed against a number of Hollywood blockbusters such as "Avengers: Infinity War", "Deadpool 2", and "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom".
In celebration, the producers will release the extended version of the film with a different ending next month.
"Believer" revolves around a mysterious drug cartel that dominates Asia, and a dogged investigator who is determined to bring it down.
