Ahn Sung-ki cast in a film for wide international release

Actor Ahn Sung-ki continues his high profile career with a role in a big budget international co-production. The project is an adaptation of novelist Kim Hoon's "String Song". According to the studio Yeonghwa Saenggak, the film will be released internationally on 3,000 screens spread out over Asia, Europe and North America.

Kim Dae-woo will direct and producer/director Joo Kyeong-joong is attached to the film as a producer, he will be assisted by the Japanese producer Satoru Iseki. The soundtrack will be a collaboration between Ennio Morricone and Kim Soo-chul. "String Song" is financed internationally. Filming is expected to commence from March and will take place in Korea and China.

This time, Ahn will tackle the role of a musician. His illustrious and prolific career includes a wide variety of roles, including leading roles in the blockbusters "May 18" and "Silmido", and he also starred in Lee Myeong-Se's "Duelist". Kim Dae-woo directed "Forbidden Quest" .
