[Aisha's Take] 5 K-Dramas To Watch Before The First Half 2023 Ends

June is right around the corner and we are already about to be 6 months into 2023. 2023 has been a roller coaster for all, especially K-Drama fans. With the overwhelming flood of unlimited news and excitement. KDramas, it is understandable to be overwhelmed.

But it's a true shame if you missed a pure masterpiece in the crowd. Worry no more, as always, Han Cinema has your back! We have hand picked our favorites from the past few months. Here are 5 K-Dramas that you must tune in before the end of the first half of 2023.

"The Good Bad Mother"

Jin  Yeong-soon (Ra Mi-ran) had to raise her son all alone when her husband died unfairly. Afraid of the cruel world, she becomes a bad mother to Choi  Kang-ho (Lee Do-hyun) because she wanted him to become a powerful person. She pushed him into becoming a prosecutor so he could enjoy wealth and power.

After Kang-ho gets involved in an accident, he becomes paralyzed and becomes a 7 year-old again. Yeong-soon has to raise him all over again, but now, she becomes careful not to make the same mistake again.

"Duty After School"

Mysterious spheres appear out of nowhere but no one knows where they come from or what purpose they hold. After a year, the spheres begin to fall and extra-extraterrestrial species appear that hunt humans down. High school seniors are forced onto the battlefield to fight against the spheres. In return, the government promised them extra points in CSATS.

The drama focuses on the innocence of the age and how it was all ruined when they had to face the gruesome reality head on.

Yoon  Hae-joon (Kim Dong-wook), a successful and young news anchor, finds a mysterious time machine. He travels back to 1987 to stop a serial killer. Baek Yoon-yeong is an ordinary office worker who accidentally travels back to 1987, but once there, she swores to stop her parents from ever getting married.

Their motives may be completely different, but the two soon realise that their situations are mysteriously connected.

"All That We Loved"

Go  Yoo (Sehun) and Goo Joon-hee (Jo Joon-young) are best friends from high school. The two are completely different, but after Joon-hee donated his kidney to GongYoo, he begins  to experience cellular memory theory. Their friendship begins to suffer when both of them fall for the same girl, So-yeon (Jang Yeo-bin).

15 years later, Dr.Go and So-yeon coincidentally meet again.

"The Heavenly Idol"

Lembrary (Kim Min-kyu) is a deity from another world who fights against evil. During the war, he mysteriously travels to another world, in the body of an idol. Woo  Yeon-woo is a struggling idol from an unpopular group, Wild Animal. Though the group begins to gain attention after Lembrary shouts that 'he can't dance' in the middle of their performance.

Kim  Dal,is one of the biggest fans of Woo  Yeon-woo. She takes the responsibility for making him popular but soon realises that the one before is not Yeon-woo but him. 

Romance, heart fluttering moments, comedy, thrillers and so much more. These dramas are a full entertainment package. Which one is your favorite?
