"Squid Game" actor Anupam Tripathi revealed his idols.

Anupam Tripathi played Ali, an immigrant laborer in the Netflix Original "Squid Game" and has caught the attention of worldwide fans.

"Squid Game" is a nine-episode drama about people who participate in a mysterious survival game with 45.6 billion won in prize money risking their lives to become the final winner. Recently, it has swept the top spot in the TV show category in countries where Netflix is officially serviced, creating a sensation.

In the process, Anupam Tripathi surprised fans with his fluent Korean speaking skills and emotional act. He has been acknowledged as an actor and as a Korean speaking foreign actor.

About the start of his acting career, Anupam said, "I have always enjoyed performing in front of people and it makes me feel good when the people enjoy what they see or when they feel the emotions of my characters".

"I first started theater in 2006. I had an opportunity to star in a play called "Spartacus" as a gladiator and that's when it appealed to me that I could meet with people as different characters".

About his role models, he said, "I've learned so many things from different actors. Some of them are Shah Rukh Khan, Irrfan Khan, Marlon Brando, Charlie Chaplin, Lee Byung-hun, Choi Min-sik, Lee Jung-jae, Park Hae-soo, Oh Young-soo and the others from "Squid Game"".
