Actor Choi Soo-jeong dressed as Emperor Jang Bo-go for the last time on May 19 at the KBS Drama Center in Suwon to shoot the final scene of the KBS epic drama "Emperor of The Sea", which is set in the Silla period. On the final day of shooting, Choi filmed a scene in his office where his character is fatally stabbed with a knife by Yeom-jang (played by Song Il-kook). In the scene, Jang accepts his death without any resistance, and his body is found at midnight by Choi Mu-chang (played by Lee Won-jong), Jeong-nyun (played by Kim Hong-soo) and Chae-ryeong (played by Chae Jung-an). The scene ends with Chae-reyong fainting at the sight of Jang's body.

Choi has dedicated over a year to his role in "Emperor of The Sea", whose production began in mid-May of last year, with its first scene being shot last August on Jeju Island. The actor spent more than two months on shooting sets in the deserts of China starting from mid-August of last year, where he delivered a superb performance despite numerous severe sandstorms.

"I always feel both relieved and sad after finishing a drama, but this time I had to make a strong effort to suppress my sadness because 'Emperor of The Sea' was particularly hard to film", said Choi after finishing his last scene. He also added that he had to work extremely hard and even miss sleep in his efforts to create a perfect series over the past 10 months, which he said have "flown by in a flash".

Choi took a vacation to Jeju Island on May 20 along with his wife Ha Hee-ra and some of his friends and their spouses. He will rest until the end of this month and make up for the time he was unable to spend with his wife while filming "Emperor of The Sea". After returning from Jeju Island, he will travel overseas with his agency staff and choose his next role.
