"Friends 2" 1st place in the box office

Director _Kwak_Gyeong-taek's movie "Friends 2" claimed first place of the box office on the day of its release.

According to the Korean Film Commission, "Friends 2" gathered 304,211 audiences on the day of release alone and climbed up to first place of the box office.

"Thor: Dark World" didn't go over 100 thousand during the week but "Friends 2" hit 300 thousand in a day.

"Friends 2" is a sequel to "Friend" starring Joon-seok (Yu Oh-seong) who is released from prison after killing his friend Dong-soo and meeting his son Seong-hoon (Kim Woo-bin).
