"Giant" beats out "Marry Me, Please" on weekly TV charts

The most-watched TV show in the country "Giant" [SBS]

SBS' Wednesday and Thursday drama "Giant" claimed its first win on weekly TV charts, beating out two-week winner "Marry Me, Please" ("All About Marriage") for the No. 1 spot.

Data by TNmS (Total National Multimedia Statistics) on Monday revealed that the Lee Beom-soo starrer was the No. 1 show in the country during the third week of October with viewership ratings of 25.7 percent.

KBS' weekend family drama "Marry Me, Please" came in second place with ratings of 23.9 percent followed by MBC's historical epic "Dong Yi" which posted ratings of 23.6 percent.

Meanwhile, AGB Nielsen Media Research reported that the new SBS Monday and Tuesday series "King of Ambition", starring Go Hyun-jung and kwon Sang-woo, was the most-watched show in the country with ratings of 26.3 percent.

"Marry Me, Please" was No. 2 on AGB's chart as well with viewership ratings of 26.2 percent and rounding out the top three was "Giant" with ratings of 25.9 percent.
