The show promises a good start, and we have gathered all the reasons why the show has viewers hooked already. And if you haven't yet, here is why you must tune in "The Heavenly Idol".

"The Heavenly Idol" brings an interesting plot to the table. Lembrary (Kim Min-kyu), is a heavenly deity who somehow transcends to earth whilst fighting evil. In this world, he is an idol with the name Yeon-woo from the group 'Wild Animals'. The group is called washed-up idols, since they never achieved any success after even 5 years of debuting.

Baffled by everything, he shouts loudly, "I don't know how to dance", during the group's performance. The video becomes viral and "Wild Animals" takes off onto the road of fame. Whilst dealing with fame, Lembrary has another mission on his hands. To win against the 'Evil One'.

The plot handles two concepts simultaneously. For fantasy lovers, there is Lembrary's story. A pontifex with divine powers. The world of Lembrary has an exotic aesthetic like many fantasy worlds.

On the other hand, there is Yeon-woo's life. This part satisfies those who love dramas based on idols and music. It gives an inside look into the industry and how things work. For example, when Yeon-woo's video went viral, the company immediately worked on how to bring more attention to him and then change the viewers' perspective to make them his fans. Whilst we do get to see Min-kyu's dance moves and vocals. The show also sheds light on the hardships of idols. Like training and diet.

And just when we thought this was a lot, the drama offers romance. We cannot be the only ones having our fingers crossed for our Yeon-woo and Kim Dal (Go Bo-gyeol)?

With an outstanding cast, exotic cinematography, drama, romance and a lot more, "The Heavenly Idol" has captured our interest. Has it yours?
