[HanCinema's News] "A History of Jealousy" Releases Stills of Nam Gyu-ri, Oh Ji-ho, and Kim Seung-hyun-I

Still have been released for "A History of Jealousy", a mystery melodrama set to release on March 14th. This will be the first mainstream release for director Jung In-bong, whose only public directing credit to date has been on the omnibus film "The Way - 2017" about lonely elderly citizens.

Some hints to the story can be glimpsed through the visuals. We can see in Nam Gyu-ri's image the pained look of Soo-min, who wants love but knows she is difficult to trust, wrapped up as she is in secret. Cello in hand, we can see her character as a woman who communicates better through soulful music than words.

We can also see Won-ho, played by Oh Ji-ho, Soo-min's first love. In this pose, he looks a little physical and also a little stupid, framed as he is by darkness, though he has the demeanor of an educated man. Then there's Hong, played by Kim Seung-hyun-I who has long had a crush on Soo-min, looking in his shot both homely and subservient.

"A History of Jealousy" is a sprawling story, depicting the interactions between five men and women who have known each other for quite some time, although they seldom meet. Whatever revelations are in store for them will no doubt be highly dramatic.
