[HanCinema's News] Core Cast Confirmed for "You Raise Me Up"

The upcoming wavve drama "You Raise Me Up" has been confirmed and with it the core three cast members. "You Raise Me Up" deals with a man in his thirties who always keep his head down once again meeting with his first love. Yoon Si-yoon will play Do Yong-sik, a man doing civil service exam preparation. In an effort to lose weight, he meets a urologist played by Ahn Hee-yeon of EXID in her first acting role since the movie "Young Adult Matters" which came out earlier this year.

The name of the character to be played by Ahn Hee-yeon is Lee Roo-da. Her life has been going wonderfully save for the problem of having a terribly obnoxious boyfriend. Here, Park Ki-woong will come into play as Do Ji-hyeok, the manager of a local mental health consultation clinic. Like Lee Roo-da, he will be very conventionally successful but far less humble about how far he's come in life, a star contrast to the humility of the character played by Yoon Si-yoon.

Studio S is producing "You Raise Me Up" and has promised a sexy love story designed to appeal to young people and the situations they find themselves in. The drama will be written and directed by persons with no previous major credits. "You Raise Me Up" is expected to be released via the wavve streaming platform sometime this summer.
