[HanCinema's News] Kang Ha-neul Considering Offer for "The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure"

Kang Ha-neul is well due for another major project following his work in the extraordinarily popular drama "When the Camellia Blooms" in late 2019. "When the Camellia Blooms" was Kang Ha-neul's first return project following his mandatory military service and quickly reestablished his reputation as a major star.

"The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure" is the long rumored follow-up to the 2014 film "Pirates", which scored over eight hundred thousand admissions. In spite of this apparent success, "Pirates" was widely critically panned, and "The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure" had seen little apparent progress in production since its announcement in late 2018. It is currently expected to start filming sometime in July.
