[HanCinema's News] Kim Min-kyu Sets Off for Fan Meeting in Thailand

Following a recent fan meeting in Japan, Kim Min-kyu is already on his way overseas again. The actor was confirmed to be on a flight bound for Thailand this past June 9th, where he will now participate in an event with his fans residing in that country as well. Purportedly the reason for all the travel is that Kim Min-kyu will need to start work on "The Heavenly Idol" soon. Kim Min-kyu is the only confirmed actor for the fantasy romance about an idol whose body is taken over by a Pontifex.

"The Heavenly Idol" is based on the web-novel The The Heavenly Idol. The name of the idol in question is Woo Weon-yoo, although Kim Min-kyu's character is described as Lembrary, the name of the Pontifex. Kim Min-kyu has been around the scripted South Korean entertainment industry for some time, making his debut in "Monstar" back in 2013. But his recent turn as the second lead in the popular romantic drama "Business Proposal" is what has made the actor a new international star.
