사풍개 - 사운암의 아들, 순노부에서 온달과 부대끼며 자란 오랜 벗. 온달과 티격태격하면서도 결정적인 순간엔 형제보다 진한 우정을 발휘한다.

월이 - 귀신골 [화전민마을] 실세, 백제 유민 출신. 구김 없고 해맑고 씩씩하다. 나이는 어리지만, 가끔씩 애늙은이 같은 소리로 사람들을 놀라게 한다.
Lee Sang-chan (이상찬)+ FollowSeok-goo - Ran from working at Goon-yeong's barn because the work was too hard, is found by On-dal and is taken to Gwisin Village, he looks gruff but is very deep-minded and loyal.
석구 - 군영의 마굿간에서 일하다 모진 매질을 못 견디고 도망쳤다. 성치 않은 몸으로 죽어가던 것을 온달이 발견, 귀신골로 데려왔다. 과묵하고 무뚝뚝해 보이지만 사실 속정이 깊고 의리도 아는 남자다.
Won Woo (원우)+ FollowPil-goo - Ran from the construction site of the Jangan Castle, goes from mountain to mountain and meets On-dal... ends up in Gwisin Village.
필구 - 장안성 축조에 동원되었다가 야반도주했다, 이 산, 저 산 떠돌며 초목 피로 하루하루를 연명하다 사냥을 하러 나온 온달을 만났고... 귀신골 주민이 됐다.
Yoon Ah-jung (윤아정)+ FollowHong-mae - A maiden that lives in Gwisin Village, talks a lot, cares a lot and is very nosy, she lost her husband and child in the war but now she is a must-needed figure in Gwisin Village.
홍매 - 귀신골에 사는 아낙, 말도 많고, 정도 많고, 오지랖도 넓다. 전쟁 통에 남편과 자식을 잃은 신세지만 지금은 귀신골에 없어서는 안될 살림꾼.
Yoon Joo-man (윤주만)+ FollowGo Sang-cheol - From the Go family clan, Go Won-pyo's right hand man, does all of his dirty work and is faithful to Go Won-pyo.
고상철 - 상부 고씨 가문, 계루부 고추가 고원표의 오른팔. 온갖 위험한 임무와 지저분한 일을 도맡아하며 고원표에게 충성을 바친다.

두중서 - 살수 집단 천주방 방주, 주술과 신점에도 능한 그는 본래 고구려의 길훙화복을 점치는 황실 소속 복사 였다.
Ryoo Ui-hyun (류의현)+ FollowTarasan - A warrior, Tarajin's twin brother, unlike his smart sister, he's innocent and pure for a warrior, has a strong bond with his sister.
타라산 - 천주방 살수, 타라진의 이란성 쌍둥이 오빠. 똑부러지는 동생과 달리 사람 죽이는 살수치고 순진하고 어리숙하다. 틈만 나면 동생과 티격태격하지만 우애는 깊다.
Kim Hee-jung-I (김희정)+ FollowTarajin - A warrior, Tarasan's sister, speaks roughly and has a personality like a boy, people mistake her for Tarasan sometimes, she thinks she's more feminine than Pyeong-kang and even gives her romantic tips when she meets On-dal.
타라진 - 천주방 살수, 타라산의 이란성 쌍둥이 여동생. 말투 거칠고 선머슴 같은 성격에다 얼굴도 닮아서 사람들이 자주 타라산으로 착각한다. 그래도 평강보다는 자기가 여성스럽다고 착각하며 평강이 온달을 만날 때 나름 연애코치까지 한다.
Moon Jin-seung (문진승)+ FollowMa Tae-mo - A warrior, has no mercy for his victims, seeks the attention of the chief but is always shaded by Ga-jin [Pyeong-kang].
마태모 - 천주방의 살수, 죽여야 할 상대에게 자비란 없다. 남녀노소 가리지 않고 칼을 휘두른다. 방주의 총애를 갈구하지만 늘 가진 [평강]의 그늘에 가려 2인자에 머물러 있다.
Jung Eun-pyo (정은표)+ FollowYeom-deuk - A member of the Chunjubang, raised Yeom Ga-jin, pure and kind-hearted, makes and sells salt, attains information for the Chunjubang, lost his wife and child in the war and was on the verge of starving to death when the Chunjubang saved him.
염득 - 천주방 일원, 평강 [염가진]을 키워준 양아버지. 순박하고 선한 성품. 직접 만든 소금을 만들어서 팔고 남은 이익과 그 과정에서 얻은 정보를 천주방에 제공한다. 전쟁에서 아내와 딸을 잃고 가난에 허덕일 때 천주방이 거둬줬다.
