Oh Young-soo From "Squid Game", The First Korean Actor to Win the Golden Globe, Best Supporting Male Actor

"Squid Game" actor Oh Young-soo won the Golden Globe Male Supporting Actor Award.

At the 79th Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles on the 9th (local time), Oh Young-soo won the TV drama Best Supporting Actor trophy with Netflix's "Squid Game".

Billy Crudup and Mark Duplass of "The Morning Show", Kieran Culkin of "Sucession", and Brett Goldstein of "Ted Lasso" were named candidates for the Best Supporting Actor Award.

Oh Young-soo is the first Korean actor to win the Golden Globes Best Supporting Actor Award.

"Squid Game" depicts a story of risking one's life to become the last winner in a mysterious survival game with 45.6 billion won in prize money. In the drama, Oh Young-soo appeared as Oh Il-nam.

Meanwhile, at the Golden Globe Awards, "Squid Game" was nominated for the best series in the drama category. Actor Lee Jung-jae was also nominated for the Best Actor award in the drama category.
