[Orion's Drama News] You've Got Male

Dramaland's love for all manner of plots involving law enforcement is quite obvious, but boy do we have a lot of goodies about detectives, real and fake, this week. Crime and punishment is very manly lately and today I take a look at some upcoming naughty boys once more. We also have the releases of first teasers for many new dramas. Things are looking quite promising for the upcoming months.

It's Raining Men

The streak of man-centric shows continues, but I would not underestimate the ladies of "Untouchable" after the latest teaser. "Prison Playbook", on the other hand, is piling on the gentlemen due to its unique setting. I am really looking forward to this. Actor Choi Sung-won has thankfully been recovering well and he has a cameo appearance here. "Bad Guys : Vile City" is here for all our machismo needs and its latest stylish posters and character trailers deliver.

Fresh Starts

We have a ton of first teasers for dramas this week, most of which are law-related, and we start off with a literal bang from our fake detective in "Doubtful Victory". The lightness in tone continues in a surprisingly comedic teaser for "Nothing to Lose", which I had the impression of as a revenge/justice drama. "Two Cops" introduces its confident hero and teases more action while "Black Knight - 2017" goes for impressive visuals and painful romance. If all of the above stills seems a bit too serious for your liking, welcome to the cute and animated teasers of "I'm Not a Robot", which is looking like a hoot. Wait until you see Uhm Ki-joon's teaser. The cringe is real, folks.

Upcoming Drama Goodies

The first stills for "Jugglers" are out while Kim Hyung-jong has joined an unknown role in "Misty" and Lee Seung-gi dives right into "A Korean Odyssey" after his army service. "Children of a Small God" is courting Kang Ji-hwan and Kim Ok-vin, which has me very excited despite its dull premise. I am less excited about "Voice 2", but this is a topic for another time. Meanwhile, Kim Tae-woo goes from being Death to a series about it in Noh Hee-kyeong's "The Most Beautiful Goodbye".

Followed Dramas

My grabby hands are all over the upcoming shows and I think I have my picks, but I will hold off on their announcement just one more week. My "Man-Hole" marathon was put on hold as well, but I plan to get back to that soon. Meanwhile, "Mad Dog" is still struggling and "Black" is still highly entertaining. 'Tis the (fine) Season.
