Some Celebrity Students Asked to Cancel Degrees Amidst Education Regulation Changes

Dongsin University released a statement regarding the announcement made by the Ministry of Education.

The university admitted that academic credits and degrees were granted in accordance with school regulations, but some of those regulations were flawed'.

It added that measures will be reviewed to protect graduates with degrees and create supplementary measures to ensure more thorough management in the future.

The Ministry of Education held their first meeting on this day and announced the result of the survey on universities on academic irregularities. According to the results, the university gave credit and admitted attendance to at least 7 celebrity students who did not attend the school. The Ministry of Education asked for them to cancel their degrees.

Some of the celebrities mentioned are Lee Gi-kwang, Yong Jun-hyung, Yoon Doo-joon, Jang Hyun-seung, Seo Eunkwang, Yook Sung-jae, and Chu Ga Yeoul.
