Song Il-kook Chosen as Best Second-Generation Actor

The results of an online poll conducted last week showed that of the total 5,299 respondents, 2,677 (50.9 percent) chose Song Il-kook as the best actor among all the children of previous-generation celebrities. The second-best second-generation actor was Yeon Jung-hoon, who received 2,591 votes (49.1 percent).

Actor Kim Eul-dong's son Song Il-kook has become very popular recently for portraying the charismatic character of Yeom-jang in the KBS TV2 series "Emperor of The Sea", which is quite rare for an actor playing a sinister role. He also showed off his outstanding acting skills in the horror movie "Red Eye", which opened on Feb. 18, where he plays the lead part of Chan-sik.

Meanwhile, the results of another poll showed that 4,306 (65.4 percent) of a total 6,581 respondents chose Jae Hee as Han Chae-young's preferred "love interest" in the KBS TV2 miniseries "Sassy Girl Chung-hyang" over Um Tae-woong, who portrays the cool-headed Byun Hak-do and received 2,275 votes (34.6 percent).
