"Three Brothers" take 12th win on TV charts

Family drama "Three Brothers" solidified its status as the most-watched TV in the country for the 12th consecutive week.

Figures by TNS Media Korea and AGB Nielsen Media Research on Monday indicated that the KBS TV series recorded ratings of 35.3 and 33.1 percent, respectively, for the week of May 3 to 9.

The weekend drama, based on the lives of three brothers played by Korean actors Ahn Nae-sang, Oh Dae-gyu and Lee Joon-hyuk, continues to bring in high ratings since first airing in October last year.

Meanwhile, variety program "Happy Sunday" scored high on both charts with viewership ratings of 24.8 and 23.2 percent, respectively, to stay the second most-popular show.

Rounding out the top three programs for this week was MBC historical epic "Dong Yi" with ratings of 21.7 percent, according to TNS' poll while AGB said KBS daily drama "Good Days when the Wind Blows" was third with ratings of 21.7 percent.
