Total $30 million worth contract meetings at BCWW 2011

CWW (Broadcast Worldwide) 2011 was held in Coex, Seoul, Korea from 31st of August to 2nd of September with 5,000 participants from 50 countries worldwide as well as 231 companies. Korean Drama series kept popular like the last year. "Gyebaek", "Warrior Baek Dong-soo", "Ojak Brothers", "Glory of the Family" were exported to Japan, Taiwan and Philippines.

Because of recent K-POP fever in Europe and SEA, many companies from the regions showed interests toward entertainment programs more than the last year. Music Bank from KBS, In-Kki GaYo was popular choices among them. We could sense that K-POP market would be just getting bigger.

Global Media Forum was held at the same time with BCWW 2011. About 10 sessions were proceeded with the topic like Hot Trend, Asia Drama Content, Emerging Market etc. Especially Content distribution strategy through new platform such as Youtube was the most popular session among them. In addition, Tim Gibbons from HBO emphasized the importance of storytelling and stories with originality and universality to succeed in Hollywood.

One-act play at the COEX cafeteria got paid attentions from buyers as well.
