While the 36th Blue Dragon Awards is being held on the 26th, the attention is hot for the Best Actor Award which has numerous outstanding candidates. Since there is no problem with the list, curiosity is rising about who will win the prize.

Yoo Ah-in and Song Kang-ho from "The Throne", Lee Jung-jae from "Assassination", Jung Jae-young from "Right Now, Wrong Then" and Hwang Jung-min from "Veteran" are nominees for the Best Actor. Song Kang-ho, Lee Jung-jae, Jung Jae-young and Hwang Jung-min have already taken the trophy home several times if not at least once but this time Yoo Ah-in is one of their competitors.

Yoo Ah-in was nominated at the 52nd Daejong Awards for the movies "Veteran" and "The Throne". Although he didn't win the award because he wasn't there, it was a great thing to know that he's been recognized as a nominee for Best Actor.

The Blue Dragon proved this fact once again. It has to be honorable enough for Yoo Ah-in to be standing in the same line as his fellow but senior actors. Now, it won't be weird for him to desire the award.

Yoo Ah-in debuted in 2003 with the drama "Sharp 1" and has been on a different path compared to others his age. He emphasized himself with characters that he was sure he could pull off and even took on the role of Jo Tae-oh, the bad guy in "Veteran". Then he starred in "The Throne" as Sado, son of King Yeong Jo.

In the peak season of summer and Chuseok, Yoo Ah-in experienced two posters with his face on them, hanging in theaters at once. Now that he is a guaranteed actor who brings success, he's enlisting in the military 12 years after his debut. If he manages to take home the Grand Prize, it will be a year he will never forget.

Yoo Ah-in hasn't had much luck with trophies compared to his works; the Best Rookie award at the 2007 8th Busan Movie Critics Awards, the Best Rookie at the 3rd Pyeongtaek Awards and at the 11th Directors' Cut Awards.

Song Kang-ho, Lee Jung-jae, Jung Jae-young and Hwang Jung-min are irreplaceable. It doesn't matter who gets it but it will be disappointing if one of them doesn't get it. Still, will Yoo Ah-in be able to beat all of them and have the best time of his life?
